Someone take this peppermint pattie from me, please............
Okay, I've been good for several days and today I stopped at the dollar store - just to get picture frames, I refuse to pay the price that other stores want for the same items, especially since I love to frame and display pictures all over the house - and I hadn't had lunch. I stopped on the way back from taking Bear to work, which is a Saturday ritual that I love. There at the counter were the chocolate bars, calling my name, enticing me, making my stomach make funny noises and causing people in line to stare at me as I drooled. So I caved. I bought the peppermint patties because they're the least fat making of all the rest. And now, I'm munching one. And it's soooooooo good. But it's soooooooo big and I really don't need all that. So, maybe Harold could help me out here?

K, it's official, I have the world's cutest grandchild. I took a picture of her to Walmart and did some playing around, centered it, made it just a tad larger, printed it out and oh, my word, it's cute. Hee. So I got a frame and now it's on the stereo, and no, I'm not prejudiced, she's truly adorable. I took a picture of both girls and framed that for the other side of the stereo, can't have one being favored, you know. Hee.
The house is officially sold. The closing was Thursday. I expected to feel really sad about it, but somehow, there's a lightness and a sense of peace within me now. It's done. I don't know if I did the right thing, I don't know if it's what my parents wanted, but I know that even though there are strangers living in my house, in my heart it will always be exactly as it was the day my mother died, and it will always be a part of me. So it doesn't matter what happens there now, I live here now, and I always will. And I'm very happy to be here - no matter what anyone thinks of me, or what they think of the way I've done things in my life, I know that Bear and I are meant to be together and that we will always be together, no matter what, no matter where.
So I took my car to be inspected and it took two hours because they needed to replace the gas cap and they didn't have one. Geez. I took my book, Confessions of Teenage Drama Queen, (which was quite cute, by the way) and I damn near finished it. So last night I read the last 10 pages, and sorted through the box of books in the spare room, which I'm happy to report you can finally walk into since we took some boxes to storage the other day. It was so hard to decide, I finally closed my eyes and grabbed the first one I touched. I didn't read too much, but it looks very interesting (see book on left, hee). I'll keep you posted.
Oh, I nearly forgot! I recieved a wonderful surprise the other day. ~~Huge smile~~ I got a message from one of my favorite subjects, actually he's my very favorite terry cloth primate,
Sir Monkey! He was speaking to my favorite knight, Sir Pero about some very serious issues concerning the placement of macaroni and cheese on Sir Pero's recipe page, and he inquired about moi, laprincessa. I was so pleased and excited that I giggled all afternoon. I truly love the Monkey, and I strongly suggest........no, actually, I command........that all my faithful subjects visit his page and check out his suggestions for one of our very favorite upcoming holidays - Valentine's Day. The meringues are to die for. I promise. Also check out the very cool t-shirts and sweatshirts you can purchase, I'm seriously considering making them the official uniform of the kingdom. Seriously. ~~giggles~~
(and in case anyone is interested, and I know you all are, macaroni and cheese has been upgraded from side-dish ~~looks sternly at Sir Pero~~ to its proper placement as main dish. mac and cheese is one of laprincessa's favorites, mmm....mmm......mmmm!)
